It is only a few months old and will be perfect as a starter NAS if you want to use RAID or separate disks. It would be equally at home if you already have a NAS but want to expand your storage without having to replace your present NAS disks with ever bigger capacity. I use it as a media server to stream HD video all through the house and as a component in my inter NAS backup and it does everything I ask of it.
THIS is the item in question and it retails for around the £100 mark.
This NAS was exceptionally simple to set up and has been perfectly reliable. At the moment running with two 4TB drives (not included).
Needless to say, it is in perfect working order and complete. The only reason I'm upgrading is because I need more space and I'm not prepared to pay the price asked for 8TB drives so I'm going for the four bay version of this device.
