Was at the Doctor's about 6:00 pm. He made out a prescription and instead of receiving the green form, ho told me it was already at the local pharmacy, having been sent via the NHS intranet.
Off I went to the pharmacy, where there had been no prescriptions forthcoming, either mine or several others who were waiting. 20 minutes later the shop assistant was dispatched to the Doctor's surgery to collect the prescriptions in hard copy and return to the pharmacy.
Took just under an hour to do what normally takes less than 10 minutes.
Isn't technology wonderful?
Meantime, SWMBO is alone in the house in a right old mess
