Last week Derek had a stroke whilst driving. He managed to park up at the side of the road safely, luckily Lilian was with him and they managed to get him to hospital in good time.

Derek was diagnosed with a bleed on the brain and for a short time he lost his sight. The first night in hospital he had a little difficulty breathing but was said to be comfortable. He has had tests including a dye into his blood stream to see where the bleed was etc.

Happy to say the bleed has stopped and they have allowed Derek home, he is not allowed to drive at least until his next hospital appointment in around 6 weeks but is back with his welcome posts on the OC.

Yes thanks for the update Dave, nice to see he is on the mend and hope his recovery is swift, he will have his 75 waiting for him and thats something to look forward to
