It is something which trawls the web for the purpose of indexing website information, usually for search engines.

Yes, bots or web robots trawl sites frequently to look for items of interest or concern and they report back to base with their findings. The likes of foul language and porn links can result in a site being blacklisted by someone like Google whose bots are a common sight on most forums. Whitevector looks to be concerned with market research...what/who is being talked about. Click :geek:
