Where can I get facelift Rover Centre Caps? by JakeWilson

Does anyone know where I can find some facelift Rover 75 centrecaps - to fit a set of Starspoke alloy wheels? :)

Had a look at Rimmers, the ones I've found which look to be Mk1 are over £13 each! :o

Otherwise I'll be repainting my own!

Jake,

often on e bay, but if no luck its worth measuring up the emblem in the centre of the existing caps as they might be the same size as a cheaper set which you then buy, strip your own down and repaint and reglue the emblems did this on a set once when i had a similar problem and looked brand new careful how you remove the emblems apply some heat and prize away gently

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

The Mk2 versions for my Forked alloys are really badly faded. I got a new set from the bay of fleas, though listed as for another model. The part number confirmed they were also for mine.

I think that's the right sort for the later wheels, certainly looks correct for mine which is a facelift, though I have forked.

Do they have the part number on the back? Might help the OP to decide if they are right.

If they aren't what he wants (or he doesn't want them), could you let me know the price? I have a set for my tourer, but they fade very fast so won't last long once fitted. Again a part number would help check they are what I need.

As Jake hasn't responded, I'm going to PM him and ask, as I'm interetsed if he's not.

Spoke to Jake today, and he's not responded as he's been at POL and so on, not near a PC.

He tells me he's going to wait until he can get the wheels refurbed, so please PM me with a way to pay, and I'll have them.

Cheers.
