And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away ha haaa

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I said
That not being able to type the word caravan would make me flip my lid

Right? You know you laughed
I heard you laugh. You laughed
You laughed and laughed and then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad

And they're coming to take me away ha haaa
They're coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away ha haaa

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

Caravan Song by BARBARA DIXON
Click here to buy Caravan Song Backing Tracks

The early light is breaking
The morning sun is waiting in the sky
And I think I’m gonna break way
And follow where the birds of freedom fly
I need to give
For the world is slowly turning
And the life and love are burning in my eyes

CHORUS
Caravan
Oh my soul is on the run overland
I am flying
Caravan
Moving out into the sun
Oh don’t know where I’m going
But I’m going

I wish I had the wisdom
To find some simple word to make you say
The thing’s that mean a lot to you
Don’t always seem to mean a lot to me
I need to leave
When the sands of time go drifting by
I may be on mu own but I’ll be free

CHORUS

Do you give in yet Mick ?

Rob. You are not alone.

However, we must rise above it and not let them get to us. We like our Caravans and ultimately we will always find a way to prevail, even if it is by parking fibreglass sheds on Micks drive.

Well. I might have considered it. But right now I don't have a car with a fully wired up towbar. Another unfinished job that is getting critical as I can't tow the trailer either to get rid of all this scrap I have.

Oh, and due to playing with 75's the caravan hasn't been serviced in about three years so will need a fair bit of recomissioning. Will happen though, and I might end up turning into a mobile workshop for the Nanos. (I would end up very dead if I did).

Well mine would be, its limited to Maximum 15MPH towing, or moving by specialist Transport people on low loader. :D
Could be because its over 30' long x 12' wide. :gmc:

I appreciate the tongue in cheek nature of the comment Steve but I'd like to use it to make a point. :)

Cars towing caravans bring out the worst possible stupidity in some drivers. What we used to call "Oh my god it's a caravan syndrome".

For example, a car and caravan traveling at the speed limit along a normal ie. non dual carriageway road and a car arrives on the minor road at a junction ahead where 'Give Way' rules apply, sees the c@ravan and pulls out in a blind panic with much screeching of tyres to get in front at a distance that would just be suicidal under normal circumstances.

The car and caravan then have to take emergency braking action, causing traffic behind to have to do the same. The caravan combo then takes the blame as it takes a little longer for an outfit that size to regain speed.

That's to say nothing of the fear of a crash generated in the occupants of the towing car.

Meanwhile, the hydro-cephalic congenital idiot who just put at risk his life, his passengers lives, those in the car towing the caravan and potentially many others, breathes a sigh of relief and pats himself on the back for a job well done. At the same time, accelerating away so casually in a lot of cases, that the caravan combo quite often has to ease off, being in a position where it cannot safely overtake the clown in front
