"My lovely car now sold onto a very happy new owner.
I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Quality not quantity should be our motto. :D
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

Well with Trolls about, we should be glad not to be being eaten.

Mind you, we should just tell them to wait until the next, bigger, billy goat comes along.

You probably know, Paul, but I was referring to the story of the three billy goats gruff. The Troll under the bridge gets what he deserves, by bringing it upon himself.

Quite so Duncan... but I was being allegorical, in view of my thoughts as to whom the troll might be ;)

You know me. Nothing like a nice bit of allegory :gmc:

Paid twenty quid for my first Maxi. Didn't realise it was the 'high preformance' one either.

Oh yes. Twin carbs, tubular 4-2-1 manifold, high lift cam, close ratio box.

Used to upset a few other drivers!

The cable gearchanges were bad, but not that bad.

The seats did fold down into a very comfy double bed, though. Unfortunely, only ever single occupancy on my part.....

Yeah I knew about the seats....................I remember the telly advert but something tells me the gearstick folded flat...............I wonder if it was another type of car altogether

No, it only felt like it was going to. :gmc:

I bought a Maxi new in '72. Last new car that I bought myself. I thought it was marvellous - 'til the head gasket failed. Hello, that sounds familiar.
