It is indeed stunning Carl, nothing like that would ever get built in UK.
Costs, Politicians, planning, green doom and gloom merchants and NIMBY!

"My lovely car now sold onto a very happy new owner.
I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

I wonder how long it will take for them to do a Top Gear special crossing it in something exotic?

Makes you wonder why we just didn't build a bridge instead of the Chunell.....

Absolutely superb engineering.

I've always had this 'thing' about bridges . . .

Ancient Chinese proverb.

Build bridges for your enemies to retreat across.

It looks fantastic. I just worry that there's still a lot to learn it that part of the world, like we went through some years ago. I just recall seeing a few weeks ago in the news a bridge that was not quite up to spec and a truck fell through it.

Still that takes nothing away from what they have achieved, it is magnificent
