I'm not a member of the "hang 'em and flog 'em brigade", and I know through experience that prison does nothing more than act as a warehouse for the socially inadequate.
However, in this case I'm in full agreement with the Court of Appeal. I've met Lady Hallett on several occasions and she certainly has her head screwed on properly.
I'm waiting for a copy of their lordship's full judgement because I tend to take anything the media say with a pinch of salt.
