Tourer load cover by PaulT

Have bought a load cover off of eBay to replace the superb one in mine. The reason my original one did not have a dog guard and we now need one with the guard.

The cover on the new one is tatty so thoughts are:

1. remove the load cover - as I never use it

2. replace the load cover with the original one

Has anyone taken one of these apart and if so any pointers / do not do this.

I have wondered the same thing about these, as I have one good one (the original) and one slightly tatty one (the one with the netting) which has a partially chewed cover from when one of our dogs was a pup! Now if I could combine the two..... :D

LOL! It would be that alright! I've had a look at the construction, as I am sure you have too, and can't see any logical way to take them apart. Plus, even if there was an easy way, I'm sure that once opened, all the innards would sproing in every direction and be impossible to get back in!

As an aside, have you noticed how much heavier the one with the mesh is than the standard one!

Please bare in mind that there isn't a "Dog Guard" on the Tourer load cover.
It is designed purely for "parcel/packages" restraint.
The weight of a dog any size would go straight through these.
So please be aware. Get a proper dog guard.
