Hi guys my first post

I get a ticking noise under heavy acceleration after 3000rpm up to red line but up to 3k rpm engine is smooth no noise, its a diesel and done 99k

Any ideas ?

It's something I've known all of them to do, I think it's down to the fact that after 3000rpm not a lot happens, with the engine producing most of its power below that.

Ahhh right thanks for your reply it almost sounds like a camshaft my friend has the same car in fact they are identical and his doesn't do it
