Well I refuse to accept responsibility. I've always found suppositories a suitable solution to paranoids. :gmc:

I'll quote this from SWMBO who actually studied Latin:

Latin is a dead language.
As dead as dead can be.
It killed the ancient Romans.
And now it's killing me.

Only cos I don't understand it.

Can I write in Polski and confuse you Latinistas?

Wlaz kotek na pâšotek i mruga,
i mruga,
šadna to piosenka nied šuga,
nied šuga.
Nie dâ šuga, nie krtka, lecz w sam raz,
lecz w sam raz.
Zapiewaj koteczku jeszcze raz,

Not so easy.

It's a nursery rhyme. Can't say it all but can do some. It's about a kitten climbing on a fence and singing.....

Postby COLVERT » Wed Feb 08, 2017 7:58 pm

I've just used up and hour of my life reading through all the posts on this thread. Lol.

Interesting reading now that what was the Future is now the past and 6 years and seven months have passed us by.
Things on here have steadied to a slow calm pace.

Not so the OTHER side. Things have remained virtually unchanged.

Lots of threads locked or deleted. Lots of folk warned and subsequently Banned.

This is so even though half the posters there and here have gradually disappeared from these car forums altogether.

It would tend to show that human nature carries on unchanged even though the players have moved on.

In retrospect it might have been better to ignore the trolls and trouble makers all together and not join into any of the disputes and arguments that can end up being quite upsetting to those involved.

In spite of all these numerous clashes nothing seems to have been changed by them.

I guess that somewhere there is a moral to be drawn but what it is exactly escapes me.

Sorry for the chat but I felt like saying something.

The only problem with banning all the people with a different point of view, is that it does eventually kill any discussion on the site, thus negating the whole point of the site in the first place! :(

Although, for a variety of reasons, I haven’t ‘been on here’ for some time I have just seen this thread (thanks for the revival, Colvert). Wow! No idea what went on and don’t want to know either. But Wow!

I too have, or had, a presence over there since just after the ructions mentioned above and subsequent events now become clearer. Lost count of the bannings and suspensions since, but never involved so was never that curious. For what it’s worth, always thought things were somewhat more gentlemanly over here. Sometimes even sedate. Much better for the health. Thanks for the troll treatise Mick, most informative. Just finished reading The Prince and wasn’t aware they had trolls in the 16th century. Very Machiavellian!
