The sights living at the seaside by PaulT

It is 07:15, grey, very windy with rain in the air. A dad has just walked past with a 'beach' bucket followed by two young children also with 'beach' buckets and spades. Presumably, they have been pestering to go down on the beach. Have a nice day.

They will be enjoying the last week of the school holidays and making the most of the British Summer.

Thanks for the sweet memory. Wonder where their mother was. Doesn't matter about the weather when your Dad comes home from the war, no matter where it may be, although my Dad came home (for a short while from Middle East) and took us to the beach while Mum was doing her duty issuing tickets on a Tram. The rain was horizontal at New Brighton but we had the best day out for a long time and I took my bucket home full of sand for the garden (window box in Sefton Park, Liverpool). I'd give quite a lot for just 5 minutes of that stormy day.
