Currently down in South West France. The other day it was very nice in the morning and afternoon. In the evening there were a few spots of rain and then thunder and lighning and then hail. Now it is often said of hail stones that they were the size of golf balls but these were. A huge number came down with terrific force, such that they punched holes in the guttering (pity the poor animals in the fields). They have also left dents all over the bonnet of the car though the roof seems to have survived. So on my return to the UK hopefully I can find a good bonnet in Firefrost.
