Scratched Alloy - Can I polish it out? by Mad-Monkey

I've scratch my alloy, not bad (unlike the other month :o ), and was wondering if I was to flat it down with some wet and dry, would it polish out? It's quite urgent, as erm, the car isn't mine :shock: (I'm having a really bad month with cars)!

Any tips?

The answer is, yes you can! Used some 240, 800 and 1200 wet and dry. Then some polishing compound, and it looks superb. Don't know how it would work on the different finishes you can get on the alloys, but on the polished silver ones it has come up superb. Only taken about 30mins as well.
