Carroll Shelby (and here)

This is a bit spooky, as I was watching an episode of Chasing Classic Cars just two days ago, and they were trying to sell an original Cobra at auction. The price was struggling, and they tried to get interest going again by bringing Carroll Shelby up to the podium.... I remember thinking then that I was surprised he was still with us, and now he's not....

Carrol Shelby had made a couple of TV appearances lately - as you say he appeared in 'Chasing Classic Cars', also 'Wrecks to Riches' USA, and 'Rides'

Famous to most for the Shelby Cobra but also did much, much more.

RIP, it made me very sad. Had the chance to drive in 1982 a 1966 Shelby Mustang (white with the blue stripes) and it made a lot of difference w.r.t. to the "normal" one of back then...
At least he left behind a nice legacy
