Theres a product around that I've yet to see fail to help in these situations. It's called label remover and seems to diisolve any sticky tape kind of substance you care to name. It affects some kinds of plastics (some clear plastics, I think polystyrene) but otherwise is a brilliant product.
The really odd thing is that in spite of being around for years, not many people have ever used it. I first used it to remove gaffer tape (also known as gaucheron tape in some circles) from a development car that had been covered in the stuff to disguise it just prior to launch.
Yes, it was a 75. In fact the blue one used in many of the launch photos! Also had to remove a dirty great lump of wood from the suspension placed there for some unknown reason.
I reccomend getting hold of some of this stuff and using it to dissolve the glue. I will be using it on the early sticker from the club as the inkjet printer ink has faded to look like shite. Oh, that and the fact that I've moved on!

Hmm, maybe mine was a second generation sticker. It had the one with a white background, not the look through thingy.

I've given up trying. Only sleep 4 or 5 hours at best.
