Radioguy unit failure. by Bernard

I don't normally switch this unit off as such but did so the other day.

Now it won't switch on again but the odd thing is that the Bluetooth part is still connecting to my phone when I get in the car so I assume that it has not lost power via a fuse or something.

I haven't started ripping it apart yet before I get some ideas.

It's a relatively early unit, first of the RDS equipped so a little over 3 years old.

Who are the experts on this unit?
I've lost touch with it all now since I don't follow the 'club' much any more.

May be worth having a chat with 'Coolcat' as I believe he does the UK repairs for these now. Not sure if he's on here, but he is on the Enthusiasts that I do know!

Hope you get sorted Bernard.

Have you got it sorted Bernard ? Coolcat also offers to carry out repairs but he is based in Clacton on Sea so its post off job im afraid. He can also convert to a blue lighting if required

Not bothered much about it to be honest. Plus I can't get down to the fuse box because of my knee problem at the moment, still haven't even checked the fuses.

Hi Bernard , You can reach me at admin@75andzt.com
Sounds like either a fuse or a dislodged wire or loom.

When you can check that, let me know and if need me can get it to Jeff for a peek and see what the issue may be.

Cheers

Sean

Thanks Sean. It may be some time until I can get down on my knees to have a look.

Well, well! I took the car out today for the first time in 2 weeks and to my amazement the wretched thing switched on and has worked fine.
Must be like me, needs a rest occasionally.
I won't turn it off again.
