Strictly speaking it's for proper motorcycles....but I bet if a thread or two appeared about pedal bikes no one is going to :hissyfit:

Looking forward to posts about Honda 50s then - suppose posts about mopeds would be OK if the person was eventually going to own a Honda 50

Note I have personally already admitted on another thread to having owned an FS1E...which was both a 50cc AND had pedals....so I think that covers most things...

That is...until the scooterists show up..... :scared:

My first bike - around 40 years ago - was a Honda 50S. A proper motorbike with a clutch, 4 speed box, speedo... but a 50cc motor. Not quite the same one as the Honda 50. We shaved the head, tarted up the breathing & had it doing 14,000 RPM - a shade under 50 mph. RPM were measured by strapping the school physic's lab frequency meter to the luggage rack :geek:

Boston in rush hour? Deep joy!

I work at Pilgrim Hospital (and have done for 18 long, long years), but live on the "wrong" side of Boston (Sleaford)

Have learnt that town is best avoided, so the morning run is via Langrick and Anton's Gowt, and in the evening, back home via Tattershall. Either way takes me around 45 mins, for a journey which, if I went directly, could take just 30 mins....

I was a biker once. I owned a Triumph 3T (350 twin) and a Triumph Bonneville 650 twin..Then had a front tyre blowout on the Bonny at erm, a fair ole speed (legal in those days)!! Result? came orf, hit a vertical concrete post whilst sailing through the air horizontally and wrapped myself round it like a horse shoe!, knees broke my jaw and nose, the post broke my pelvis, both hip joints, six ribs, ruptured my liver (two thirds were removed) trapped and broke my left arm, at the elbow. 8 months in hosp, two years on crutches.. Then I bought a BIG car, a Daimler DB 18 with pre selector gear box. Not been on a bike since!
