Problem loading the laters Windows 7 update by PaulT

A little problem with the latest update to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Shut the computer down and it downloads the update. Start it again and it spends a great deal of time attempting to configue itself - the indicator remains at 0% then says it can't and that it is reversing the changes.

Anyone any idea what the problem might be?

Have the same OS on mine but not had this problem.
