Problem changing over car insurance by rovernut

I've decided to change my wife's Tourer and contacted AA Insurance to let them have details of new car etc.

They were very helpful and offered to cover both cars for 14 days whilst I sold the old one.

Then the fun started. "Oh hang on I have to refer this back to the Insurance Co."

The new car is identical to the old one apart from condition value and colour. So what could the problem be? Its holding up the transfer till they get back to me. There have been no other changes ie convictions, claims etc. Could it be the new car is dodgy?

Any ideas?

Working out how much to charge you ?

I take it you are being a pain by constantly contacting them for updates on progress

Sorted!

Would you believe it was a computer issue? They're on new software......

£56 to change cars worth less than a few hundred quid.

Goodness knows how much the phone calls cost.

Now lets see if the car I bought has HGF (Head Gasket Failure)

Note to try Adrian Flux at next renewal.

Now James!

Who said it was a 1.8?

Who said it was a 75?

You, you naughty man assumed it was a K Series cos I said HGF.

Its the wifes 416 Tourer and the good news is it doesn't appear to have that malaise called mayonaise under the oil cap. Just a bit steamy from the tailpipe but its that sort of day ...innit
