Watched the coverage on BBC1 of the service for the centenary of the Battle of Jutland. There were the top naval bods from both the UK and Germany as well as bands and guard of honour. Then Anne arrived and she had far more medals than any of the others in the navy. Just wondered how someone who has not seen any active service ends up with more medals than those actually on active service, hence thinking about eBay.
Very sobering to hear both sides reading from letters that had from those involved on both sides of their experiences.
