Porous wheels (non Rover) by Dave

Gill's MX5 has always suffered from tyres that deflate gradually over time. This seems to be getting worse - checked them today and they were well low

Can wheels become porous and let the air out?

If so, they are (TBH) in need of a refurb. Would this make them more airtight?

They can become porous but the most common fault is corrosion around the beads which pushes the tyre off it's seat slightly & causes a leak, refurb is the best option but pressing the tyres off & cleaning the rims & painting will normally do the trick
Geordie Jeans! they're nice & tight especially roond the arse

Sounds like a plan

Would like to get them refurbed though, as they do let the car down...

I'll probably do that - money is not abundant at the mo, but would be nice to know the cost!
