No, not picky at all! The 'x' signified 4 valve heads if I remember correctly....then they went back to 'z' with the 900r etc...I will dig some pics out...(I had meant to type 'x' too... :gmc: )

Kwaks were always my favourites... :D I had an FS1E...fun! A Z250A3..brilliant 'learner' bike...ha ha...except I turned 17 the year they dropped the limit to 125cc... I had an XS250...awful...a GSX 250..awful...a Cb550 four...lovely..with 4 exhausts...bit like my V8  ..then an XS750...nice but top heavy, the GPz750, an XS1100...lovely beastie...and finally a ZX6r...I used the GPz for despatch riding....2000 miles a week...

The V8 is now my 'bike equivalent'.... :D

Blimey  Nice list there!

I passed my test in 1990, so part 1 when 16, Part 2 when 17, ridden a few bikes, (ZZR600, ZZR1100, GPZ500S, ZX6R, ZX7R) Prefer Kwaks myself, but to be honest the GPX is the only machine I've ever owned.

Had her for just over 10 years now, and probably don't do enough miles to justify ownership :!: Yeah Right

Couldn't bear to see her go. Sentimental value, Used to be my Brother in Laws

If sold, Would only be traded in, to go to great the scrapyard in the sky

Yeah, not the most widely seen. Always got a few people having a good look around it at the local bikers Cafe.

Really good 1st bike. I have a 29" inside leg and could get both feet flat on the floor.

I bought this as a replacement for my old plodding NTV 600. I had intended to get a VFR400 as I was using it to visit clients & didn't really need the bigger bike. But then I saw this, rode it, bought it. Mostly, it's still used just for business. However, last summer my son & I did about 1200 miles in a week through France & Belgium on it, some of it on small back mountain roads. There was a lot of extra luggage attached - all up, we were probably at around 450 kg - getting on for 1/2 tonne. Comfort, impeccable handling and quite quick enough. A bit like Mick's ZT really, but much redder :)

The rider saddle is 30.7" I think, after fitting the custom saddle. There is a problem in the saddle being so wide - makes for a comfortable ride over long distances but makes putting feet down something you have to think about. I'm 5' 6" & a bit short in the leg. The pillion is quite high - must be 3 or 4" higher but that's common on modern bikes. It allows the pillion passenger to see over the rider's shoulders & so lean according to what they can see as well as being less boring for them :) Makes 2-up much better all round.

Very pretty Aprilia :)

There's something about the style of Italian bikes - mind you, having lived in Italy for some years I'm a bit biased :)
