My V6 passed the MOT today with flying colours and no advisories, the MOT tester said it was perfect and they never even took it on the road for a road test as they saw how good it was when it was on the ramp.

Not bad for a now 24 years old Cowley built car, big thanks to member John Aston who gave me 1st refusal to buy it some 12 months ago, still ...

Hi all who's insurance costs have either gone up by 33% 50% or in some cases even doubled, i have seen and read it's because the costs of paint as risen, so has labour charges, parts, energy, to run offices etc.

How about those whom never make a claim and most of our cars would be wrote off anyways, not repaired, i had my renewal quote from hasting direct been with them for 10yr Tourer ...

Most of us know that the inner waist trims at the top of the doors, especially in the rear of the cars, is prone to oxidisation which results in the metal inside the trim bubbling which then makes the trim look unsightly and as the trim is hard to find a lot of owners have to live with it

I replaced the original gas struts at the bonnet and tailgate on my 75. The originals would have been twenty years old in September.
A vast improvement was evident upon fitting the replacements, just shows how things degrade over time and you don't notice it.

Recently in July, i removed the rear subframe ready to add the new one, while i was doing that i checked out the orange dreaded mark on the NS sill which i noticed when i changed the rear spring a few weeks back.

A little prodding and yes for sure it's got the tin worm starting not gone far so hopefully caught it in time.

Spoke to Scott yesterday after 15.00. Delivery arrived with Royal Mail at 13.30 today. A total of about 10 hours. Bloody brilliant.

I have recently replaced the rear brake back plates but due to severe corrosion the handbrake cables needed to be replaced as well

Fortunately the new replacement cables have plastic end pieces so they should not need to be replaced again.

Another item that I have replaced was the fuel tank strap. I gave the new strap a couple of coats of Hammerite and Waxoyl.
