How sad is that?
My wife and I attended the East Kirkby meet in conjunction with the Mid Lincs Rover Club.
Really enjoyable day for both of us and always nice to put some faces to names, even Colin!
Took loads of pictures of various cars, some of which, like the Austin of England A30 really took me back to my youth, I rememebr driving to Great Yarmouth with a mate and kipping in the car, but that's another story!!
I would like to thank Rob, Trebor, for arranging the group photo by the Lancaster Bomber, amazing stuff!
We walked and visited many of the exhibits and some are quite heartbreaking to read but still really interesting to see what efforts are made to recover some of the Crews / Planes that didn't make it back.
The only downside was the amount of stuff my wife purchased in the "auction" nearly broke a spring on the way back.
I'm pretty sure it will not be another 3 years before we attend another meet.
