I've not confirmed I can be there. though I am planning to. If I am I can help with your fit as I've done it myself. One of the easier mods.

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

 Yesterday i sorted out the nano plenum spy hole mod trays, these will be in a blue bag along with the rubber bungs and the plumbers spring for rodding the plenums, usualy a nano person will fit one of these for you but if you are able to fit it yourself by all means do so, once you have fitted the modifed tray please return your old one to the blue bag there are ten all together for each day of the nano.(FOC)

I also managed to prepair the intercooler bend fitted with Viton O-rings if you require one of these please ask at my car or find me and you are more than welcome to have one, this takes about 15 minutes to fit again i will need your old bend back so new viton O-rings can be replaced for the next member, i have five of these ready two are the modifed 3 O-ring version.(FOC)

I will also have with me some gold resistors with the wiring fitted to them already for ease of fixing to your fan you will need to ask me directly for one of these should you need to change your silver resistor for a gold one.Arctic

I'm wondering if anybody will be able to help me out with a more secure fitting of my double-DIN head unit please?

My previous one was rock solid but this one has a lot of lateral movement and pushes the fascia out.

I took you old unit out as it was doing the same as yours, I put my old single DIN unit back and it is doing the same. My thoughts are that the units must be raised up a little at the rear where they rest on the ledge.

It will soon be time for the next nano meet which will take place over 2 days Saturday and Sunday, so feel free to come on either day or even better stay over and attend both days !

There will be free camping for those that want it and you can arrive on Friday afternoon/ evening if you wish to set up. Anyone who might want to stay in a local hotel for the night will be able to find accommodation suggestions on the nano website " links " page in my signature below

After the Saturday session with the cars we will gather in the pub for a drink and those that want to can have a meal in the pub if you wish but I will not be taking advance orders. After a drink/meal back outside around the camp fire for a laugh and chat.

Sunday morning will be more of the same looking at cars and we will finish in the afternoon usually around 5pm.

There are usually 2 x T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System) diagnostics present plus the Nano crew who between them have a lot of knowledge and experience and are keen to pass it on.

Slideshow of the last meet in July below:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ed5an59104gblok/zC_5nMJp3f

If you intend to come to the meet please put your names down on this thread and I will update the list on this first post. We do need an idea of numbers so please tell us if you can whether you will attend on Saturday and /or Sunday, if you will be camping, and if you have a job to do on your car at the meet it will also help if you can indicate what that is, so that other members planning to attend can offer their support

Many thanks

Jürgen
Squire ( Saturday and possibly Sunday )
Rover418275 ( Saturday and Sunday )
Cockaa ( camping from Friday and attending both days )
Starbug 2 ( car only )

Duncan
Mick

Now hear this, now hear this !

I have just been to the Ashes to make sure all is ok for the weekend and we will have exclusive use of the small field as per usual.

There is also another event on at the Ashes over the weekend, a 40s re- enactment Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm both days. They will be on the large field and football pitches and all football has been cancelled for the weekend. Large numbers are expected at this event but nobody is really sure until it happens, but bring your cameras, tin hat and ration book !

Will all campers and caravanners please try and pitch at the very top end of our field which gives us room for all the cars that will attend over the weekend.

I plan to be there about 4pm on Friday, if you will be any earlier that will be ok but may find the field entrance gate padlocked in which case you can either pop in the pub , tell him you are with the Rover meet , and ask him to open up or park on the car park until others arrive, either is ok.

The top of the small field for campers is where the caravans are on the picture below, and you can also see an overhead picture of the venue and the field we use on the nano website ( link in my signature ) by selecting the venues page

See some of you on Friday and the rest at some point over the weekend !
