Hi Mick.
I suspect quite a lot of the R40 now need the gas refilling, always best to use the A/C at least once a month if not more so the seals do not dry out, very frosty here this morning but now warming up so I'm off to the tip with some rubble after a nice cuppa green tea.

Hi Steve, I use the air-con every time I drive, sometimes even once a month. :) It's 4 years since last re-gas, was still over half full. Only the second time in 20 years. :)

Took the wraps off the Midget yesterday, first drive since last summer. Forgot how much of a treat that is. Even though my cap flew off from a gust of wind, back country road so walked back a few hundred yards to retrieve it. All's well.

Well, a funny sort of a day. Shopping (for food etc) this morning. Back by lunchtime to get some beams into the little French car that keeps appearing at the Nanos.

Cooked a joblot of mushy peas, 6 portions for two. All the commercial ones have sugar added. Why?

Then sown a whole lot of chilli seeds from a kit I got. If they all come up will probably have over 60 chilli plants. No, I DON'T eat that many chillis.

Tomorrow likely to be up at the allotment, to prepare the ground and plant the shallots and onions. Can't believe how much watering we are having to do in April.

Another cracking day to get out and about on the bike. Rode down to the Forest to see my sister, it was a tad chilly though. I've now put the lining back in my jacket ready for tomorrows ride over to Gloucester to have the first service done. Image

Hi Dave.
Lovely bike that bet it's a nice ride, myself never rode one always thought them as dangerous, but i suppose once you have mastered riding one it would be ok.

Had a nice day cruising down Windemere today then on to the steam train down to Haverthwaite and back. Never been to the lakes before with wall to wall sunshine.

Nice. One of the locos (the one in use the day we were there) was made in Stafford. We were also treated to a low level flypast from the RAF.

We did it the other way round as we were staying in Ulverston. So got the bus to Haverthwaite, and so on.

Got to be better than felting a shed, clearing out gutters, and spaying ant powder into the mouths of tiles to stop wasps making a nest in your loft.

Quick oil change on the Flame tomorrow and a new air filter, maybe some jet washing of the pavers at the front of the garden, but all the maintaining keeps us in good stead do things later on throughout the summer.

I need the get the fuel filter changed on the FL2 and the air filter, It had it's second oil change just before we came up here but as I brought that forward a little due to this trip I didn't do them at the time. But for now...............Relax and pour another glass of wine in the sun :-)

Hi Dave.
Both relatively easy the fuel filter being harder out of the two, it will need to be primed before trying to start the car.

Air filter.

Well, now I remember why I hate computers. Trying to set up a new laptop and desktop, ahead of windows 10 going out of support. Yeah it's easy to transfer all your settings from your old one to the new one, if you have a Microsoft account. Not so easy if the password they have written down isn't correct So finally sort that with a reset.

So do the transfer. Are all the apps and data there? Of course not. If you dare to use non-microsoft programs for email and browser, you are going to have to sort that yourself. Was even worse on my own PC as pretty much everything I use it for is not microsoft. So got to go through loads of stuff and make sure I install it on the new one. Things like Navcoder for example.

Anyone tried to migrate from Skype to Teams on Apple kit. Won't complete startup after logging in. It's supposed to be seamless. Tried the web portal, after 5 goes it finally accepted my login So slow as to be un-usable. Looks like the app is just a wrapper around the web portal.
I'll be using Signal for non Mac users and the excellent Messages and FaceTime for Mac users.

My point. MS = Mostly ****

Total rip off with Microsoft we have three laptops in our house which do not make the standard for the windows 11 when it first came out, Gail purchased a new laptop, and she gave me the old/new one Dell which was only 18months old anyways, so i have that but have recently been looking at all in one desktop to replace my tower which as been fantastic and is still good but again not window 11 compatible.

Lots of people have had to buy new laptops or desktops what's stopping them from doing the same thing in another 3 years time.
