How on earth did it take 8 years!

He has been found guilty and is going to appeal - which will take several years.

Is this what is called swift justice?

I never understand the delays, it is probably far more complex than we can imagine to get somebody like this to court, but 8 years is just crazy

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

But Rob, my reading of it is the actual trial (he had been taken to court) was 8 years - just think how long ago the Olympics were in the UK and double it that is how long the trial has taken. Wonder how much the legal people have earned?
