I've lost so much pride in this country over recent years that things like this no longer surprise or shock me anymore. This once proud and great nation is now on a downward spiral to oblivion.

Think as well about the scrap metal dealers who know it has been stolen but buy it and quickly melt it down.

Sometimes the chopping off of hands makes sense

Around this neck of the woods, the scrap dealers are so well policed that the thieves are melting identifiable items down to shapeless scrap before trying to sell.
