I find this whole B.M.I scenario hilarious - I have just been weighed and told that I am unhealthily overweight.

I weigh 16 Stone.

Now, what I find the most comical about this is that, according to the little slip I was handed, my Ideal weight should be between; 9ST 10.6lb and 13St 1.8lb. So the average of that would be approx 11.5 Stone.

From my Early 20's all the way through to my mid 30's I weighed, ironically, 11 stone and I was constantly told by my Doctor to put weight on as I was seriously underweight for my Height etc etc and should weigh at least 13 Stone. If I did weigh 9st 10.6lb I would in fact be nothing more than a "Bag of Bones" as my Mother would say (She used to call me that when I weighed 11St !!)

Now, as well as very confused, I am apparently Obese .......... :panic:

I have also had this 'diagnosis' from my witch, sorry medical doctor. He says I drink too much, I say it is just the metal leeching into my body from the cans of beer that I drink.......

I have been through this with my Dr too.

I am 5'6 and apparently I should weigh between 8 1/2 Stones (54Kg) and 11 Stone (74Kg) - quite a wide margin there.

However, the last time I weighed anywhere near 11 Stone was when I was at Uni, walking approx 4 miles per day, swimming 2 -3 times a week, Rugby training once a week plus a match etc.

My Dr, however, has never asked me to lose weight, which according to the BMI tables has me as overweight and not far off obese.
