iPad question by Raistlin

Hi all,

Since I upgraded to IOS8 on my iPad 4 I'm finding auto-logon to the Community forum isn't happening even though I've selected it.

It's a royal PITA having to log in each time using the iPad keyboard.

I've asked Mick and the problem has nothing to do with the server end.

Please, can anybody advise?

Thank you.
Paul

Can't help your issue Paul but maybe I pad related as I too have log on issues when on iPad, my autofill works but on occasions I have posted on a thread only to be asked to log on again after pressing submit which means all is lost and I have to start over.

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

Are you using private browsing? It can selected as permanent browser choice which may have been changed by the upgrade. If the browser is black in design then you are in private browsing and it won't store details.

The same place as private browsing. iPad settings, scroll down to Safari.

Have you tried the old clear cookies and data from safari and reboot?

I was having exactly the same problems in IE, on my old laptop. Only with the community forum. Is it just this forum for you?

Paul, let's have a look at your iPad's configuration. Go to Settings, Safari and check the autofill and cookie settings. Allowing cookies from the current website only will be sufficient.

Saved Passwords will reveal a list with all URLs and their connected accounts. Look for the community URL. Your account name should be shown next to it. In case you've unintentionally choosen not to save the password, not saved will be shown instead. Then you have to delete that entry before the password can be saved again next time you log in.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

All settings as you suggest Jürgen.

How do you delete URLs in Saved Passwords please?

There's an Edit button in the top right corner. Or just swipe the entry to the left.

OK. Thanks Jürgen.

I intend to delete the entry regardless and see if that solves the problem :)
