Have finally taken the plunge and downloaded the update but so far it is proving to be a pain in the bum, my I pad is now slow to respond whereas it was fine before and a lot of my desktop links although still working have changed appearance

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

I haven't the slightest intention of upgrading from 7 until specialist media reports suggest it is stable Rob.

Unfortunately you can't easily downgrade, as it were.

Its fine on a 5S apart from one oddity I've seen where it seemed to eat the battery very quickly. Restart fixed that. My boss isn't getting on well with it on a 5. When I upgraded a 4 to iOS7 it slowed down a lot and isn't allowed to get iOS8.

This is what my icons now look like for the various car sites i visit, lost all identity, there is a workaround which is click on the link and save it again which goes back to normal but why should I have to ?

Actually, that did happen for one link, to my energy monitoring site. I forgot about that. It just fixed itself after a couple of days, maybe including the restart
