Intermittent Cruise Control Rover 75 V6 by Jeffrey

Jeffrey
Hi, My 2002 75 V6 tourer has minor cruise control issue. I would say it works 2 out of 3 times I use it and on the 3rd it will not work. If I stop and turn ignition off it more than likely works again until next time. Any ideas folks? Jeffrey

Have you checked the brake pedal switch is fitted correctly
Do you get both lights on to saying its working, switch and IPK (Instrument pack (IPK from the German)), when it doesn't work

Yes, all manuals have the switch on brake and clutch if they have cruise. Its easily disturbed if work is done on the master cylinder. Its worth trying to adjust before doing anything else.

This is an auto. The green light on the button always comes on. The orange display on the dash does not come on at the random times that it decides not to work.

Try the brake switch first it may have moved slightly out of place.
