Has anybody fitted a kit if so are they any good, looking on fleabay they range from £35 to £55, i take it the ones with metal bodied bulbs are better also what sort of output should i be looking for 6000k/8000k and i take it these kits do not need headlamp washers to pass the MOT?

As I understand it, HID (High Intensity Discharge) is ideally suited to the projector type of lens construction. As a result, when used with standard headlight lenses, the light is directed erratically in all directions, causing the dazzle which gets HID such a bad reputation.

6000K will give you the hint of blue that high end cars have. 8000K will look dramatically more blue and will have less useable light output. I believe the standard HID in MG/R OEM stups is 4300K.

At the moment, as these are not OEM, the regulations regarding headlamp washers and automatic levelling do not apply IIRC.
