Hi folks.

Am i right in thinking that the lower pipe at the heater matrix is the inlet ?

Thanks.

Pete.

I've looked at the workshop manuals, and its hard to say. To be honest it looks different on the V6s to the K and diesels.

Thanks Duncan.

I want to clamp a temperature probe to it so need to know which is the hottest side, pretty sure it's the bottom so will go for that I think.

Conventional wisdom would say the top, so the cooled water flows downwards. Mind you since it's a pumped system it doesn't make a lot of odds.

Why don't you do a bit of testing and try a probe on each side, then you can tell us for sure.

OK, figured it out by tracing pipes, fitted ebay temp gauge and it is within one degree of diagnostic mode display, less than a tenner :-)

Thanks, that's on a 1.8 K. I'll have a look at a diesel and V6 when I get chance and add them for reference if they are different.
