Have always named my cars.

Current daily driver is called Harvey - due to having RV in his registration.

Don't have a name for my new 75 yet. Kids want to call it Mikey or Wacko - as it has MJA in the reg. They say that's like Michael Jackson?

My previous CDT Conn SE was called Nobbie - short for Norbert as he had NBT in the reg.

So what's yours called?

I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Can't believe I forgot my Beetle - well I can as he's been in the garage gathering dust for 3 1/2 years - he's called Floyd - he has been since birth (1st registration) apparently.

All get names:

Saloon is Robin. He's Arden Green. Arden is a forest and so is Sherwood, and Robin Hood lived there. No, not me.

Tourer is Woof. First two letters of his reg, and he is a Rover..

Morris Minor is Mog. Of course.

VW Scirocco (Mk2) is Tara. Scirocco is a wind, gone with the wind etc....

Recently sold Audi was Audrey.

The Grey Ghost, because it's grey and a bit ghostly if you look at it sideways and squint a lot.

Oooh! glasshouses and stones! Yours only got a tint. :gmc:
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

Previous cars also had names that are a bit, well, silly.

Sooty. He was diesel, and black (R400)
Mossy. 800 Sterling.
Doug. C930DUG
Dougarina. A female Rover 218, bought just after we had Doug.

Don't blame me, she decides if they are male or female, and what their names are. Except for Woof, which was suggested by Phil.

Still trying to find a name for mine....haven't named a car in years but want to name this one.

Reg has AD03WKR to work with... :gmc:

...shoot! I hope the internet doesn't see that .... along with all the other stuff I made up someone could steal my assumed identity... :panic:

i was toying with Much due to the AD0 aspect of the reg but most people work with the WKR part.

I did have an orangey yellow Estelle that I called Skippy......

My Tourer is called 'Midnight'... three guesses why (not the most creative but it stuck)

My C3 is 'Elsey', which evolved from LC (meaning 'little car') used in shorthand messages at home.

In the past I had a car called 'Christine' because she would change the radio station by herself. She was a nice car (nice to me at least - she didn't like strangers)

Mine has been christened "Boris" by my Daughter, why?

Well her R25 is called "Doris" so it followed on from there.

I call it "Boris" because Boris Karloff was a very scary actor in my youth and the car scares me to death everytime it goes to Austin Garages for some work. Something to do with the size of the invoice!! :whump:
