Hand brake & gear lever gaiters by Pedro

Finally got round to changing my hand brake and gear lever gaiters today. The Rover 'leatherette' ones were covered in holes and have been replaced with some leather ones from ebay which look a great deal better. Did Rover always fit these cheap gaiters or was it part of 'Project Drive'?

Not sure if some had proper leather, but my early Cowley club has leatherette on the gear leaver gaiter and handbrake.

I see many leather cubby box lids too, but suspect they are not, as again my Cowley car has PVC.

So does anyone know for sure? Maybe cars with leather seats (which are only partly leather BTW) got leather cubby lids and gaiters?

Well my car is an 05 Connie with leather seats (or as you say, part leather) but the cubby box lid is definately plastic and the gaiters were a poor quality leatherette. I wouldn't mind a leather cubby box lid. I'll have to keep my eyes open.
