Been looking for several months, today bit the bullet and bought this one.
I can't begin to say just how well sorted this car is so I'll let a couple of pics do the talking

Nice find :) Bringing it to the nano Mick?

Powerfolds shouldn't be a problem

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

I might if the weather is fine. It's not been out in the wet since it was completely restored. Only done 18k miles since then and, that would be just the one powerfold.

You'd be surprised at just how much space is inside, even a giant like you might fit. If I was to allow it. :D

Reminds me of my second one that I bought new in 1967, same colour. Plenty of legroom in it even for me at 6ft 1in at the time. Although I'm a bit shorter now, I've more than compensated for it in girth so I now would struggle to get out of one. Great fun to drive, especially after giving the engine a rebuild up to near Cooper S spec.
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

Mate of mine in the RAF had one, 2 accidents and could not get insurance after that. I was his passenger when he collected it, as an ex-Spitfire owner, never liked them. But they have character not found in cars of today.

Cheers

Looks in brill condition. Some nice touches on the Mk II, the chrome coach line trims and hubcaps. Mines a Mk III with round rear wheel arches. They were only built 72-73 all rest, earlier and later, have the squared off arch.

Looks really good Mick. If you need a bit more boot space turn your spare wheel upside down, something to protect the paint on the wheel and boot floor though. I did this on my MGB it's handy space for tool roll and a few spares, but checking spare tyre pressure it's everything out to do it, can't have everything!
Have fun ? Hint
Martyn.
