Can anyone identify what this connector is for?
It is located in the drivers side cubby hole in the rear trim in the Tourer.

Thanks

Mike

Could it be the rear bumper sensor module?

Thanks for the replies, I will go with the fact that it is for an accessory.

How odd. Sure I'd replied. Anyway, I agree with Arctic. Looks like the car side connector for the parking sensor The black one plugged into that white box.

Thanks Duncan, my car was not fitted with factory fitted parking sensors.

I have another connector on the side directly opposite that needs identification, once I upload the photo.

Thanks

That would explain why you only have the black connector which is part of the wiring harness so there even if no system. The white connector is for the harness to the bumper and would be missing without a factory fitted system.

I'll try to help with the one the other side, when you upload the photo.

IIRC the CD changer is 10 pin not 12 ;) so it's not that.
Welcome to all who have managed to migrate ;)

The second connector is shown below and the wires run to the rear light cluster.

Sorry, don't recognise those although the photos are tiny for some reason. The wiring on the left side of the tourers is a bit odd, where some wires for the tailgate (like the open switch) double back from the tailgate, to the car, and back to the tailgate for no good reason I could see. That said, I don't recall a small bue connector anywhere in there.
