The corrugated pipe which channels exhaust gas to the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve) valve (in my case a bypass), doesn't have a flange to secure it to the EGR valve. There is a short collar which is secured to the EGR valve by a clamp and jubiliee clip. The end of that collar is then a loose fit inside the exhaust gas pipe and the whole lot is held together by the spring tension between the exhaust pipe and the valve.
Has anybody seen this before please? Is it adequate for the task? Is it correct?
Thank you for any views / experience.
