I took a fill in job as a bus conductor in London for a year in 1970. Worked on Routemasters, mostly RML. 253, 149, 243, 67. The 67 RML's were replaced with Atlanteans, they were nice and warm at 4.30 am on the run to the docks. Drivers didn't like them much though.
I like the maroon and cream livery, adds a touch of class. :)

Yeah it's a really nice livery & actually suits the RML's better than LT Red

Hi Col, that Bristol RE is in almost identical livery to the old Hartlepool Transport buses i drove in the 70,s& 80,s before the cowboy,s took over!Loved the Bristol,s to drive (the buses !!)semi auto,s OMO fast as,well some of them.We also had Leyland Leopard,s & double decker,s. Ahhh,happy days :clap:Just noticed it doesn,t seem to have centre exit doors? All of ours did.
