Draining the Tank - SORTED by MrB

I need to get some diesel out of my fuel tank in order to replace or re-seat the seal on the in-tank fuel pump.

What is the best way for me to do this.

I was thinking of taking the pipe off the UBP to the fuel filter and putting this into a jerry can and leeting the pumps empty the tank??

Can anyone offer any suggestions.

Have replaced the tank seal now - and didn't have to drain the tank after all.
