Another one for Bernard. :D

Should it prove necessary. Is there anything I need be doing when disconnecting gas pipes from the evaporator(If that is what it is?) The tank is empty. Ta!

The tank valve will be shut anyway when the power is off.

Make sure the area is well ventilated and put your fag out. ;)

Just crack the connector first to let any remaining gas out of the pipework, remembering to keep fingers etc. well away from the area, you don't want to get any possible liquifed gas on you. :panic:

There will only be vapour on the rubber hosed side and possibly liquid on the copper side.
Remember that the liquid expands by a factor of 250 in terms of volume of gas at ambient conditions.

Don't bend the copper pipe if at all possible because it work hardens and could crack.

Check the copper connector for leaks when you reconnect it and watch for a crossed thread.

Nothing to it. ;)
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.
