I've picked up a 2-wire cooling fan complete from a scrapped diesel. I know that there is a difference between the control boxes but can I easily alter the diesel version to suit the petrol engine?
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.
Nope, the relay boxes are not interchangeable, but the motors themselves are identical. If you take the fan motor from the diesel and wire it up to the petrol relay diagram I have posted, then plug and play
Thanks, Dave. All will no doubt be clear when I go over to the workshop again. I was just hoping to cannibalise some of the diesel control box to restore the original which has been modified.

You can probably do that Mr B. The relays will be the same and the spade connectors on the wiring . It's just the diesel one incorporates a pcb, the petrol one is as per Artic's picture on the other thread with just two relays .
