Yes that's right you lucky devils I'm back & I've had a fantastic time with loads of scrapyarding, socialising, museuming, drinking & eating  & of course Rob's superb meet on Sunday
Lewis & me have had a great time starting with scrapyards on Wednesday, Gaydon & a visit to Bicester to see Ben (Typhoon-TT) on Thursday, Scrapyarding in Brum & a visit to Longbridge on Friday to reunite Grovey with his birthplace, Ironbridge on Saturday & Rob's meet on Sunday, some tinkering yesterday & back home today
Grovey is trying to get himself back into my good books & has covered 1562 reliable miles

Special thanks to Rob (Trebor) for Sunday, Ben for his superb hospitality on Thursday & Lewis for being such a great laugh & making my holiday really enjoyable ;)

I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Just North of Morpeth. Thirston I think it's called. Staying in a log cabin - should be fun.

Hoping to take the kids to see a couple of your wonderful castles - Alnwick and Bambrough.

Anywhere else you would recommend? Kids are 8 and 11.

We'll definitely be taking a trip to Newcastle - to see the Dr Who exhibition mainly - depending on the weather this might be during the holiday or on the way back down.

Will probably be the 75's first decent run.

Aircon needs pressure testing and refilling and Thermostat going in shortly and that should hopefully be that. :D

If you are anything of an historian, then I'd suggest a visit to the Castle Keep in Newcastle. Also Seaton Delaval Hall if it's still open to the public. :)

Excellent I live about 6 miles from Morpeth but am actually there now as we speak  if you do Alnwick on the Sat Sun or Mon then dont forget Dreadnought Coaches sightseeing tour by open topped vintage bus every hour on the hour from 11 til 4
http://www.dreadnoughtcoaches.co.uk/mai ... route.html loads to see & do around that area & also in Newcastle..........plenty of museums & generally interesting stuff & as Paul says the castle keep is nice to see ;)

Cheers guys.

Been a long time since I ventured into Northumberland.

Kids are very excited at the idea of living in a log cabin.

Am just praying for decent weather so as we can get out and about as much as possible.
