Just popped up on the news that two brothers have just been jailed for 12 months (make that about 6!) for stealing poppy collection boxes. Is this really what so many lost lives and limbs for! I despair at what this country has become.

Should have been 8 months. I suspect the sentence may be appealed but applaud the Bench for making it.

As I understand it they made a little over £12 in total from both thefts.

Perhaps THIS helps redress the balance.
