Curious noise. by Raistlin

I wonder if anybody can help with this one please.

When the car is turning slowly with full left lock there is a sort of rubbing noise which stops as soon as I let some of the steering off.

It isn't a mudflap on the ground as it happens on level as well as sloping surfaces.

I've had a look behind the wheel and nothing seems to be showing signs of wear so I'm at a loss.

Power steering drive belt...my CDTi 75 did it...weather dependant iirc! I don't think it does any harm... :)

I had a similar thing on my MOA last year. It started off just beig caused by turning and I was at a loss as to what it was. However it turned out to be the cooling fan rubbing against something as a result of the bumper being moved.

I would go with powersteering noise, usually the slightest move of the steering wheel away from full lock stops it.
