My 2004 Facelift ZT CDTi has a faulty fan

Will mine be a 3 speed or a 2 speed fan unit so i know which resistor to order

You need to look through the front grill at around the 2 o'clock position. see if you can see a silver resistor, pretty sure at that age it should be a two speeder

As Dave says check above to tell,
but if a two speed fan the normal problem is the actual Resistor going not the fan,
although in the heat recently some have failed but that was due to other problems with Condenser and other A/C problems.

The three speed not having a separate Resistor is normally the fan that needs replacing although some have replaced the brushes, it is not a long term solution as still seem to go again.
