Apple iPhone Problem by JohnDotCom

Anyone have a quick solution?
My iPhone permanently shows the apple logo you get when turning on phone and cannot clear it, turn off phone or otherwise.
It may eventually run the battery down but hasn't shown any signs of doing so yet.
Phone not recognised on Computer via iTunes and if you ring it it says cannot connect or some similar message.
Don't really want to strip it to remove battery and reset hoping it will work and nearest Apple shop is nearly some 100 miles away.

Currently using the Nokia N95 8GB to keep me mobile privately.
Could butcher works iPhone I suppose. :gmc:

You can put the phone in DFU mode but you will need a Mac. Not sure if it will work on Windoze. Jules will be able to help you with the hardware. This will probably resolve it for you.
You will not find this info on Apples support site, makes their geniuses look really smart or maybe not. :D

You can try a reset. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430

Go through this check list. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802

If none of these solutions work. Call Apple .
Telephone Support
To get technical support over the phone, please call 0844 209 0611*. Lines are open Monday-Friday 0800-1945 and Saturday 1000-1745. If your product is within its 90-day complimentary support period or covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, you will not have to pay for the support. Otherwise, you may purchase per-incident support for £35.

Or go to
Genius Bar
